No. It was originally Umeda Freight Station and its container yard. Therefore, it was called "North Yard" before it became the present figure (4 buildings) by redevelopment.
There is
I do not know the matter. I'm sorry.
Apart from whether it is underground or not, there is a parking lot.
It is a building with shopping floors, restaurant floors, sweets, cafe shops etc. Please go once.
We stopped at the Grant Front to shop around while in Osaka. It has twelve floors (including the two basement ones) and two towers with a connecting bridge on the second floor. It caters to specialty and mid-higher end stores. It didn't really have anything we were looking for, but did have beautiful aesthetics. Lots of eating options on the tenth and two basement floors. It also connects to Osaka City Station.
Interesting eating/restaurant floor. Mall was difficult to navigate between the towers. Long wait times for elevators. Not that many interesting stores.
(visits: 2) big nice and modern. Pretty sure it's a big circle, lots of good food options in the cafeteria area, but both times I went, there are way too few spots to sit.
It's refreshing to know another country's history
Very spacious upscale mall. Has a large event space inside, Tesla and life sized Marvel superheroes were being displayed end of 2018. Good variety of restaurants on the higher levels, Panasonic is one of the main tenants with a few floors show casing their products.
We just went by passing but it's quite a good place with shops around too and best way to find junctions to go other places.
A nice upper class mall with lots of places to eat as well.
Some great high end shops here, and others like Muji that are a massive step up from what I've seen in the UK.
Great station, great view..
Amazing shopping mall complex with modern design and easy access from the station. The connecting walkways allow you to get off street level and under cover when it rains. The food courts are wonderful and reasonably priced with most tastes catered for and many with great night views and perfect for a work dinner or intimate date.
It's a massive mall with multiple levels. It's very easy to get lost. The South building has the Starbucks on a terrace with a beautiful vertical garden. The north building has some very high end stores. Catch the elevator to the garden terrace on the roof in the north building. It's a really lovely quiet space, and it's beautiful at sunset. The South building also has a garden terrace however it's a little more busy.
Huge shopping mall. Lots of restaurants and many posh shops. Starbucks has a great terasse with views over Osaka.
A little soulless for me. Information desk speaks good English.
Not really worth but it's a nice view to see around osaka
Very big mall, place looks so nice especially during Autumn with the Gingko trees all in one row
Top notch shops and restaurants: didn't have much time to take it all in but worthwhile
Great place to come! Theirs a muji cafe i recommend!
The place is Big!There are many shops inside, many restaurant.Enter some stores and discover Japanese conssumption culture. It is interresting to see : you can buy everything here! There are noisy advertiezements everywhere. This looks like crazy at the first visit! Finally , go to the food court and try some japanese food
Great shopping mall very modern, very clean toilet. My mother had a case of the runs and it was an oasis in the desert.
Nice and clean shopping mall, more restaurants around, have fun day for shop&eat.
There was a festival when we visited and it was so lively and a great place!
Awesome mall. There are more stores in the south building so if you can't explore both north and south sides, I'd recommend just going to the south side. Directly connected to Osaka station (near Umeda station).
This was a bright, clean shopping experience that covers 6 floors and spans both sides of the street. Lots of familiar brands here for Americans visiting the city like Coca-Cola, Samsonite, G-Shock, Armani and more. English translations are available for everything. When it's time to close, however, they are serious about shutting things down and moving you out.
Various options for shopping and eating.
Wow. Great selection of boutique retailers.
It's an awesome underground shopping mall. Christmas deco was so cute.
A great place to shopping and eat. Also just to sit and hang out. As with any review, take anything I say with a grain of salt and go try it for yourself. I have read terrible reviews of great places and the other way around. Every spot leaves a different impression on every different person. These reviews are helpful of course, but not always correct. Go have a look and see what’s out there!
Good place, many shops really nice
The convenience of being near the station is awesome. You can shop for all your needs without going any further but to be honest, this is within the largest station in the west. The walking involve to shop around is tiresome. You will enjoy it here for its luscious view, lively atmosphere, endless shopping, and tasty food. The staff are also great! People in Osaka are easygoing.
Very confusing building. It listed the shops on the directory for both buildings without indication of which building which shop was in.
A good shopping space, your not allowed to take photos inside which is understandable. Went here for Muji - biggest store in Osaka good selection. Information desk was very friendly. Space seemed very family orientated, lots of kids running around having fun with their families.
Commercial blocks with some Japanese good restaurants on the top of two floors.
Huge shopping center with a large variety of shops. Loved it here!Clean, good music good atmosphere and plenty of daytime + night time places to go.
Lots of great shops if you enjoy shopping
They have 2 building so it’s bit cheeky. And they from ground floor you can’t pass next building you have to across from under ground floor or 2nd floor I think. Anyway they have lot shop to look around. Including electric vehicles. Even cafe. And these cafe or quiet fancy. This place are not for young generations so good to walk around for mature couple.
This building is big new and beautiful, but pretty empty when it comes to shopping. Huge waste of space and way over priced shops. Only redeeming thing is the restaurant area on the upper floors.
Multilevel shopping mall with convenient store, café, and restaurants. Located near Osaka and Umeda Station.
Great shopping mall location So Large but easy Very clean & Helpful people
Excellent area to just sit and relax in between your hectic schedule while exploring the Osaka area.
Found it a bit scattered, less easily going around than other shopping centres. Anyway I made my sales buys and had a satisfying taste of local food.
South tower is medium to expensive clothes shopping and restaurants, usually crowded.North tower’s main appeal is furniture shopping, restaurant and cafes less crowded
Good place for shopping, you can spend one day in this tower, enjoy
Nice location to relax and see people
A big huge mall with lot of shops. It is madness. Have fun shopping around.
Nice place, filled with designer goods
Wow, enjoyed shopping within the stores indoor and outdoor of this large shopping mall. The variety was amazing and kept us here for almost four hours thanks to restaurants available also here. Situated within a short walk from Osaka train station and loaded with many other shoppers. Had a great shopping experience here.
Lots of shopping. Restaurants on top floor all looked good. Only stopped at Ice Monster though.
A huge shopping&restaurant complex, very modern. Big company showrooms.Upscale, though, so if you're looking for bargains, don't go here.
Grand Front Osaka (グランフラント大阪) is a large commercial complex north of JR Osaka Station in the Umeda district that was opened in 2013. It consists of a wide variety of shopsand restaurants, an Intercontinental hotel, office and event space, as well as a residential tower. Elevated walkways connect the multiple buildings of Grand Front Osaka to each other and to Osaka Station.
Spacious clean. Enjoyed the educational concept through the North Tower.
